Volkswagen Vehicles have gone through a slight decrease in their retail price recently. This model has gone through an overall fall in its selling price.
The selling price for Volkswagen cars has fallen during the last 6 months we have analyzed. The average price in December was of S$ 123,899. This price hardly went through any changes and remained at S$ 121,893 during January. The average selling price has remained fairly constant during the following two months, going from S$ 122,896 to S$ 117,287.5. In the last two, the price has gone through a -10 % devaluation compared to the previous average values going down from S$ 120,091.75 to S$ 108,590 during April and May.
The average price for Volkswagen has had a strong rise in recent years. Between 2007 and 2016, the average price is S$ 55,717. There was a significant inflation of the average price in 2007 (S$ 59,322) moving up till (S$ 75,900)in 2016. During the next two years (2017, 2018) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 68 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone up 11 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This conclusion was reached from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (S$ 105,634) and the the last two years that were studied (2019, 2020) with a price of S$ 117,409.
The graph that displays the price for Volkswagen cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "more than 200,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 56 % more affordable than the average price (S$ 106,931). Next with a price of S$ 60,021 and a mileage range of "100,000 - 200,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most affordable cars is "10,000 - 25,000". It is 11% less expensive than the average market value followed by those cars with a mileage of "25,000 - 50,000" priced at S$ 90,817.
