BMW 3 Series Vehicles have gone through a strong increase in their selling price recently. There has been a considerable inflation in the selling prices for this model.
The retail prices for BMW 3 Series cars have gone through a strong rise during the last 6 months. The average price in August was of S$ 71,216. This price hardly went through any changes and remained at S$ 68,418 during September. During the following two months (October, November) the average selling price experienced a noticeable rise, going up 41 % from S$ 69,817 to S$ 98,251.5. The average price has risen 11 % during the last two months. This result was obtained based on the price for the first four months (PRECIO1!) and the price (S$ 93,355) during December and January.
The average price for BMW 3 Series has had a strong rise in recent years. Between "before 2000" and 2014, the average price is S$ 64,964. There was a significant inflation of the average price in "before 2000" (S$ 47,690) moving up till (S$ 91,714)in 2014. During the next two years (2015, 2016) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 40 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone up 14 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This conclusion was reached from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (S$ 105,126) and the the last two years that were studied (2017, 2018) with a price of S$ 119,406.5.
The graph that displays the price for BMW 3 Series cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "100,000 - 200,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 40 % more affordable than the average price (S$ 92,471). Next with a price of S$ 64,939 and a mileage range of "less than 10,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most expensive cars is "10,000 - 25,000". It is 19% more costly than the average market value followed by those vehicles with a mileage of "25,000 - 50,000" and a price of S$ 94,987.
