BMW 5 Series Vehicles have experienced a considerable decrease in their selling price recently. This model has gone through a strong reduction in its selling price.
The selling price for BMW 5 Series cars has had a strong depreciation during the last 6 months we have studied. In June the average price per vehicle is S$ 171,203. During July the price went trough a strong deflation till S$ 97,881. During the following two months (August, September) the average selling price experienced a noticeable rise, going up 21 % from S$ 134,542 to S$ 162,880. In the last two, the price has gone through a -9 % devaluation compared to the previous average values going down from S$ 148,711 to S$ 134,791 during October and November.
The average price for BMW 5 Series has had a strong rise in recent years. During 2008 and 2015, the average price was S$ 74,074. During this period, prices pretty much remained constant. During the next two years (2017, 2018) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 67 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone through a strong rise of 27 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This was taken from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (S$ 170,593.75) and the the last two years that have been analyzed (2020, 2021) with a price of S$ 217,181.
The graph that displays the price for BMW 5 Series cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "less than 10,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 26 % more affordable than the average price (S$ 107,585). Next with a price of S$ 89,761 and a mileage range of "100,000 - 200,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most expensive cars is "25,000 - 50,000". It is 59% more costly than the average market value followed by those vehicles with a mileage of "50,000 - 100,000" and a price of S$ 126,050.
