The retail prices for BMW 5 Series cars have gone through a strong rise during the last 6 months. The average price for May is S$ 88,265. During June there was a slight reduction in the selling prices dropping till S$ 79,470. During the following two months (July, August) the average selling price experienced a noticeable rise, going up 15 % from S$ 83,867.5 to S$ 96,573.5. The average price has had spectacular rise of 45 % with an average price of S$ 90,220.5 during the previous 4 months and S$ 130,508 during the most recent months in September and October.
The average price for BMW 5 Series has had a strong rise in recent years. Between 2008 and 2014, the average price is S$ 75,421.86. There was a significant inflation of the average price in 2008 (S$ 63,525) moving up till (S$ 114,561)in 2014. During the next two years (2015, 2016) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 60 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone through a strong rise of 25 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This was taken from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (S$ 161,572.5) and the the last two years that have been analyzed (2017, 2018) with a price of S$ 202,341.5.
