BMW 5 Series Vehicles have experienced a considerable decrease in their selling price recently. This model has gone through a strong reduction in its selling price.
The selling price for BMW 5 Series cars has had a strong depreciation during the last 6 months we have studied. The average price in January was of S$ 122,557. This price hardly went through any changes and remained at S$ 117,509 during February. The average selling price has remained fairly constant during the following two months, going from S$ 120,033 to S$ 117,620.5. In the last two months, the price has gone through a strong devaluation of -29 % compared to the 4 previous average values going down from S$ 118,826.75 to S$ 83,867.5.
The average price for BMW 5 Series has gone down in recent years. During 2009 and 2009, the average price was S$ 80,647. During this period, prices pretty much remained constant. During the following two years, cars belonging to the brand aforementioned had a strong deflation in their selling price of -19 % compared to the previous period. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone up 12 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This conclusion was reached from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (S$ 75,017.75) and the the last two years that were studied (2012, 2013) with a price of S$ 84,368.
The graph that displays the price for BMW 5 Series cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "100,000 - 200,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 18 % more affordable than the average price (S$ 79,470). Next with a price of S$ 79,078 and a mileage range of "less than 10,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most expensive cars is "50,000 - 100,000". It is 11% more costly than the average market value followed by those vehicles with a mileage of "less than 10,000" and a price of S$ 79,078.
