Mazda 2 Vehicles have gone through a strong increase in their selling price recently. There has been a considerable inflation in the selling prices for this model.
The retail prices for Mazda 2 cars have gone through a strong rise during the last 6 months. During the first month analyzed in May the average price was S$ 30,145. June went through a strong inflation with a rise in the price till S$ 49,548. During the following two months (July, August) the average selling price experienced a noticeable rise, going up 25 % from S$ 39,846.5 to S$ 49,642.5. The average price has risen 7 % during the last two months. This result was obtained based on the price for the first four months (PRECIO1!) and the price (S$ 47,849) during September and October.
The average price for Mazda 2 has had a strong rise in recent years. During the first sample analyzed, going from 2009 to 2010, the average price was S$ 25,413. Please take note of of the significant depreciation in the prices between 2009 (S$ 33,959) and 2010 (S$ 16,867). During the next two years (2015, 2016) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 113 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone up 10 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This conclusion was reached from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (S$ 59,940.5) and the the last two years that were studied (2017, 2018) with a price of S$ 65,858.5.
The graph that displays the price for Mazda 2 cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "100,000 - 200,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 49 % more affordable than the average price (S$ 52,542). Next with a price of S$ 36,558 and a mileage range of "less than 10,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most expensive cars is "10,000 - 25,000". It is 15% more costly than the average market value followed by those vehicles with a mileage of "25,000 - 50,000" and a price of S$ 56,944.
